Members of Saudi Arabia's Consultative Assembly or Shura Council, Sadqa Fadl, has asked the Foreign Ministry to investigate the cause of many Saudi citizens living permanently abroad.Fadl claimed one million Saudis choose to stay settled abroad. This fact indicates that there is nothing wrong with the state of the kingdom.

Fadl argues the phenomenon needs to be studied before the situation gets worse. He emphasized the lack of information about Saudi citizens living abroad. For him it was very disturbing, and it is necessary to do the investigation.

Fadl expressly to the fact that the kingdom does not have any information about the living conditions, the causes of migration, or the opinion of citizens on issues of political, economic, social or abroad. This shows the kingdom can not guarantee the safety of its citizens.
